Welcome to Marie Rose Place !
The Marie Rose Place is a welcoming space in Windsor West on Randolph Street. It is situated one block from Assumption Park, the Odette Sculpture Gardens, and the Detroit River, where participants can sit in reflection and contemplation along the banks or walk along the extensive Detroit river walkways, enjoying tranquility, peace and healthful exercise. The facility consists of a large conference room for groups of 25, a smaller meeting room that can comfortably accommodate up to 10 people, a small chapel, a resource centre, a theraputic touch treatment room.
The name "Marie Rose Place" was given to this spirituality center in honour of Blessed Marie Rose Durocher, the foundress of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, on the 200th anniversary of her birth. A favorite quote of hers is: "If we are in God, and God is in us, how can we not be on fire?" |

Mission Statement

Convinced of this, we commit ourselves to encourage and mentor those who seek to journey in faith, especially those who are disadvantaged by living in poverty, to experience healing and reconciliation and to respond to the call, “to act justly, love tenderly and walk humbly with our God.” (Micah 8:6)
